Building Bulletin 101

The Building Bulletin 101 provides the regulatory framework for the provision of natural ventilation in schools and colleges. The regulation states that Natural Ventilation should be provided for teaching and learning spaces and should be capable of providing an air change at a minimum rate of three litres per person per second.

Ventilation for Building Bulletin 101

The system should also be capable of providing eight litres per person per second if required at any occupied time. This is to be achieved by supplementing automated windows with additional louvres or stacks within the building. ACS can assist with the planning of a classroom ventilation system.

We have a wide range of actuators that are suitable to automate any design of window currently installed. We also have a comprehensive range of automated wall and roof mounted louvres, roof windows and skylights that will enhance both natural ventilation or smoke ventilation requirements within a building.
